Srajana is the name of my art soul, I have no idea when she captivated me, may be on the day when I was painting a lotus on a very thin paper with water colours – 12 basic round bocks in a colour box that belonged to my sister. The paint brush was untidy and would simply refuse to paint straight neat lines.
I remember I was quite small, and entered in 4th standard. When my family saw the painting they were very happy. My mother’s brother appreciated me a lot. I realize that was my first pleasant moment when I felt proud about my art prowess. I was in fact dancing the entire day. I was staring at the lotus in wonder.
Gradually those days passed, but something I found on that one day which was untouched. I don’t know where that lotus has gone now but the essence and fragrance of that lotus is still in my soul; that beautiful flower was born Srajana, which is growing day by day within my soul and filling my heart with art…
